Mark Hayes, David Dionne, and John Blake are Managing Partners of Momentum Sales & Marketing.  Mark, David, and John have over 100 years of Foodservice and CPC experience that is complimentary and have held key Leadership positions at Heinz, Sysco, and Johnson & Johnson.  In the fall of 2016, these three experienced Industry Veterans came together to help the Foodservice Industry, and in 2017 they partnered with Jeff Monin and his team to form Food World Live. 

The Momentum team offers solutions to help their clients refine and improve performance, and one of their key focus areas is utilizing the Food World Live platform to transform training & education in the industry.

Mark Hayes is a Managing Partner with Momentum Sales & Marketing.  He began his Career with the Sysco Corporation and also spent some time with the Carnation/Nestle Company.  He recently retired from H.J. Heinz Food Corporation where he spent over 30 Years.  Mark held a variety of Senior Management positions at Heinz including Field Sales Management, National Account Sales, General Manager of the Distributor Sales Group, and General Manager/ Director Corporate Account Sales.  Mark played a key role in the development of the Heinz Foodservice business to include Strategy, Acquisitions, Business Integration and P&L Optimization.  He also had experience in Sales Planning, Training and Resource Development.  Mark has a history of Industry involvement serving as former Chairperson of the Sysco Advisory Council and served several years on the IFDA Supplier Advisory Council to include co-chairing the Council.  Mark has broad Industry relationships and is considered one of the best “Problem Solvers” in the Foodservice Industry.

David Dionne

David Dionne is a Managing Partner with Momentum Sales & Marketing.  David graduated from the Johnson & Wales Culinary University with an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor’s Degree in Foodservice.  He began his Career with Sysco Corporation in Boston handling Street Sales and later lead the Sysco Brand Development initiative.  He was responsible for the selection, training, and all programs for all new Sysco Brand Items brought in to this Operating Company. He moved to Sysco Corporate in 1992 where he held a variety of senior management positions.  Those positions included managing the Dry Grocery, Pork, Poultry and Protein Business Centers.  He later managed the Sysco Brand National Sales Team and the Sysco International initiative.  He was instrumental in launching Sysco Branded products in Ireland, Costa Rica, Mexico and the Middle East.  He retired from Sysco in 2016 with 31 years of service.  David’s unique blend of Culinary and Foodservice experience are an asset to the Foodservice Industry and the Momentum team.

John Blake

John Blake is a Managing Partner with Momentum Sales & Marketing.  John spent over 30 years with and retired from the Johnson & Johnson Corporation.  John held a variety of Senior Management positions with J&J including Director of Sales Administration, Region Sales Manager, Director of National Accounts, and Director of Sales.  In those roles, John was instrumental in growing Top Line sales, upgrading the Sales Organization, while protecting Bottom Line profits.  In 1999, John was asked to create and lead an Alternate Channel Division of the McNeil Consumer Healthcare Company.  He and his team pioneered J&J Products into Office Depot, Staples, and Home Depot.  His team successfully sold in the first J&J Product onto the QVC Home Shopping Network.  In 2003, John recognized the opportunity with the growing Hispanic population and established a Hispanic Broker Network selling J&J products into Hispanic Independent Stores.  He later managed the introduction of the UK Retailer Tesco as it entered the United States with its Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets format.  John’s strong Administration Skills and Strategic vision play a central role for Momentum.

Crystal Duncan, MBA, FMP, Crystal is an experienced sales leader with over 30+ years in the hospitality industry with extensive expertise in foodservice operations and food safety compliance.  She has a passion for food production systems, “back of the house” operations, leading complex teams, and having a customer centric focus.  Most recent position held was Director of National Distribution Sales at Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products LP to direct the headquarter relationship for both US Foods and Sysco with a focus on sales growth and implementing innovative products with a sustainable outcome.  Prior to this role, 10+ years were in a National Account role with Georgia Pacific leading healthcare GPO business.  In this role, Ms. Duncan was instrumental in growing Georgia Pacific healthcare footprint with the two largest healthcare GPO’s in the National Account business segment.  Crystal was recognized over her Georgia Pacific tenure with team excellence/sales achievement in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2013.  In 2015, Crystal was recognized for her sales achievement with Premier Inc. one of the leading GPO’s in Healthcare with Georgia Pacific’s President’s Club award.  Ms. Duncan also held the role of operator where she led multiple teams at Medical University of South Carolina, John Hopkins, St. Joseph’s Hospital, and Holy Cross Hospital.  During her tenure as an operator, Ms. Duncan became a certified chef to enhance her portfolio skill as a dietitian.  Ms. Duncan lead several winning sales teams at Alliant Foodservice and US Foods in the St. Louis, Boston, and Atlanta markets. Ms. Duncan holds several memberships at associations within the hospitality industry including serving chair of AHF (Association of Healthcare Foodservice) from 2014-2015 and the current Diversity Inclusion ambassador for WFF (Women’s Foodservice Forum).  Crystal has been a passionate contributor to WFF for 17+ years where she has been recognized as Volunteer Contributor of the Year in 2011 and nominated in 2014.  Crystal served as a board member for MFHA 2006-2010 and has been a long-term member of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics for over 30+years. Ms. Duncan dietetic education were completed at Louisiana State University with a minor in Food Science. Ms. Duncan holds three certifications as an FMP, certified HACCP practitioner, and certified instructor/proctor for ServSafe.

Sharon A. Cox, MA, RDN, LDN, Sharon is a results-centered executive with over 30 years’ experience in the areas of food, nutrition, and wellness.  As a licensed dietitian and educator, she has extensive knowledge of emerging science in health & nutrition, foodservice systems, staff development, and performance management.  A proven visionary and strategic leader, she is recognized for driving operational growth, leading full-scale start-ups, spearheading change initiatives, and building high impact teams.  Most recently, Sharon was the AVP of Food & Nutrition at Carolinas Healthcare System (CHS).  She led the newly created corporate division for food and nutrition services that served more than 23 affiliated hospitals, surgical and rehabilitation centers, nursing homes and other facilities in North and South Carolina.  In her role, Sharon provided strategic direction and oversight for all CHS Food and Nutrition service level agreements for a budget more than $60M.  She directly managed all clinical nutrition programs for the system. Sharon is one on the pioneers of healthcare room service because of her early works at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) where she was the Food and Nutrition Director for over ten years.  This groundbreaking room service model received national media headlines including coverage on Fox News, Crain's New York Business, Food Management, Foodservice Director, and the Science Times section of the NY Times.  Ms. Cox served as President of the National Society for Healthcare Foodservice Management (HFM) from 2005-2006.  She led this organization of 5,000 members, which included executives from healthcare organizations, food manufacturing, distribution, and consulting companies.  Sharon also served in the American Dietetic Association's House of Delegates as a professional issues Delegate, a role that helped shape national policies for food and nutrition initiatives.  Sharon's latest publication in the Journal of American Dietetic Association (2014) "Using Academy Standards of Excellence in Nutrition and Dietetics for Organization Self-Assessment and Quality Improvement." is a must-read guide to building a road map for any organization on track for best practices.  Committed to education, Sharon was a dietetic intern preceptor and adjunct professor of food service systems and wellness at Hunter College.  Sharon holds a Master's degree in Education and Allied Health from New York University and is a Registered / Licensed Dietitian in the state of North Carolina. In 2007, she received the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturer's (NAFEM) honorary Doctorate of Foodservice.
